4 concerts in 2 days!

For some reason pictures are not loading.  I will try again later to load them........

As we piled on our "chariot" as the bus has been lovingly renamed, it seemed like a continuation of our fall trip to Louisville.  The passengers were almost but not quite the same - we were missing Carma, Carla, Phyllis, Robert and Linda, but we gained Eelene and Gene.  We settled all of our stuff around us and Ron took off - 20 minutes early.  We must have been anxious to get started.  The trip was uneventful as we cut across Texas on highway 79.  We rolled into Shreveport at 2:00 which gave us time to check into our room and get some rest before we left for our first event.

The Magnolias were scheduled to open for the Night of Praise at Calvary Baptist Church in Shreveport, La.  Promptly at 5:30 they took the stage and shared their love for Jesus in their songs of praise.  They sang their love songs to the Lord for 30 minutes and were greatly enjoyed by everyone.  There were several great groups there and our Magnolias were right at the top!  All through the night people came up to the ladies and shared their appreciation of their ministry.

Saturday morning found us at Bellaire Baptist Church in Bossier City, La.  We were welcomed by a large group of their senior adults.  After the singing, our Magnolias were able to pray with many.  That was an exciting time for them.  Afterwards we were treated to a wonderful lunch with the group.  We had to hurry on our way because Debbie's style is to cram as much as you can in one day!  Actually we did end up with as few blocks of time that we could rest for a while........I wonder how that happened?

We arrived at Woodland Presbyterian Church in Pineville, La for an afternoon of singing.    The beautiful little church was nestled in an area of pine and magnolia trees!  Margo was overwhelmed when her son and his family unexpectedly surprised her by showing up. The fellowship was especially sweet.  Debbie even became reacquainted with an old high school classmate.

Trinity Baptist Church in Pineville, La. was our next stop.  We had another wonderful meal.  Debbie had been telling us about this feast for the past two days.  Their pastor and his wife cooked Sauce Picante and Macque Choux  - some great Louisiana Cajun Eatin!!!  Fortunately everyone had a little break before they had to get on stage.  The folks who came were a lively group who enjoyed our lively gals.  Hearts were touched and our Lord was glorified.  After packing and loading our chariot we headed to Natchitoches, La where we are staying for the night.  We have a full day visiting three churches tomorrow and are excited to see what the Lord will do!

God, thank you for the blessings of today.
Sandy
