Still having picture problems! Bummer....
Bright and early this morning we left on our chariot for another day of blessings. Our first stop was at Westside Baptist Church in Natchitoches, LA. We were welcomed by the folks there and quickly set up for their early worship service. We were blessed with some beautiful piano music at the beginning of the service. Nothing sets the stage for worship like sound of a piano under the touch of a master's hand. Our Magnolias led the first part of worship with their music along with Bekaye giving her testimony. The personal testimonies that have been presented by the ladies have been right on target this weekend. They have been clear and pointing to the love and dependency that they have on our Lord Jesus. Bekaye's was no exception this morning. After the singing we were blessed to sit under the teaching of their interim pastor. He gave and exceptional lesson on tithing.
We quickly loaded up after the worship service and followed our GPS's instructions to Christian Harmony Baptist Church. The GPS was Ron's best friend on this trip. We would have had a difficult time locating this little jewel of a church, and it would have been a loss to miss it. The church was small, and the pastor had warned Debbie that there might not even be twenty people there. Debbie assured him that we would love to sing for the few that came. Well either the church members knocked on doors or our Lord knocked on hearts because the little church was full. There were probably 75 people there. We enjoyed such sweet fellowship there. From the minute we drove up until we drove away with them standing outside waving we were covered in their love. They clapped, tapped their feet and shouted some hearty AMENS. It is wonderful to be in a service where you know GODs Holy Spirit has joined you. We would have loved to have stayed longer and soaked up the atmosphere but we had to get back to Texas by 5:45.
We bounced over some Louisiana back roads until we got to the interstate and then we were Texas bound. We had lunch on the go. Ron stopped for gas at a station that was surrounded by fast food places. Everyone scrambled to their favorite place, got their order and hopped back on the bus to eat. Ron took a few minutes to gobble his down and then we were off again. The drive was long and tedious when we approached the Dallas area. We were very glad to pull up to Central Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. We have a special connection to this church. The pastor was our Becky's long time friend. The Magnolias outdid themselves with their singing. The crowd really got into their music. Bekaye, Becky and Delanie gave their testimonies telling how God has worked in their lives. The things they said encouraged others who were experiencing similar situations.
We are now winding down .....some have completely wound down.....after a wonderfully busy day for the Lord.
God, thank you for the blessings of today.
Sandy
